We asked the children from the Chene d'Aron primary school in Nantes to draw their brains, we translated seven of those drawings into ceramic wall reliefs.

2015

This exhibition was the culmination of a three month residency at the Université d'Angers. We selected a number of works from the collection of the FRAC Pays de la Loire and used them as the starting point for some games with the students. The games, involving drawing, writing and modelling from memory, produced  mutated versions of the work which we then interpreted to produce a group of new works.

An exhibition exploring forms generated through children's maths activities.

Upstairs we presented a series of wall pieces based on found drawings of a 'factor trees' exercise by children at the International School of Toulouse. 

In the basement we reproduced imaginary numbers drawn by children at the Collège Paul Doumer, Nort-sur-Erdre, based on our own Imaginary Maths.

A solo exhibition in three places in Nevers; the Palais Ducal, the Mediatheque Jean-Jaurès and the College Adam Billaut, as part the Parc Saint Leger Hors les Murs programme.

The work was based on the idea of sudden leaps of insight and inspiration; the 'Eureka' moments that become mythological in the history of science.

We produced this series of sculptures for the exhibition 'Deep Screen' at the Parc St Leger, Pougues-les-Eaux, France, curated by It's Our Playground. Made by conductive and non-conductive materials, these sculptures are based on the insides of electronic components.

2009      

Paint, paper, modelling clay, board, wood, silk. Exhibited in Afterwards at the Mead Gallery in Warwick Arts Centre, curated by Sharon Kivland, and in Ils dansent, ils jouent, les gens entrent, at the Maison des arts du grand quevilly, Rouen, curated by Julie Béna.

These models are a reinterpretation of Rêve Municipal (Municipal Dream), a large scale installation constructed in Nantes for the 2007 Estuaire Biennial, which consisted of an arrangement of elements borrowed from the city's stock of objects; chairs, tables, benches, voting booths, bunting, barriers, stage blocks and the many other things needed for the administration and entertainment of of a city. Here, scenes from the installation are imagined as floats for a carnival parading the props of civic life.

Installation for Estuaire Nantes < > Saint Nazaire 2007 using objects borrowed from the municipality's store of furniture, sporting equipment, carnival props, election material and architectural models.

Performance sculpture. A group of wargame players were asked to play out a battle using objects representing different generic subjects such as food, the seasons, or the organs.
